BowWow PowWow is in its third year of existence. Adams Morgan Main Street is a volunteer-run organization. This event is being coordinated by volunteers. Every year we have incorporated a kids activity center. The event is geared towards educating the public about pet education and pet welfare as well as incorporating children and families in the process. We are working with the Marie Reed Learning Center where they will have a tent to outreach to the community about their school and fundraise. We will also have several area schools that will participate as well. We will host a Puppy Parade with area Tutoring organizations, schools and their families in the morning leading up to the event where parents, children and their pets will walk around and display their costumes. As a part of this event, we offer kids activities, we would love groups to participate to coordinate activities that are educational and fun -whether it is sports (health related), arts, education, pet welfare, health eating - at the same time, we can coordinate with the school to do some painting at the school while the event is happening coordinated by the volunteers. We are open to ideas but need volunteers to assist in the kids educational components.
